Executive Director, Psychotherapist
Teri Tencer, M.A., N.C.C., L.P.C., L.M.H.C.
As a child in the Los Angeles area, Teri was able to walk from her home to a stable where she had easy at-the-fence access to horses that were used in Hollywood films.
Seeking refuge from her childhood troubles, she normally visited several times a day.
During these visits, as she developed relationships and bonded with her equine friends, she realized that they needed no explanation and yet offered great comfort.
She knew many people could be helped this way and kept this in mind throughout her years of education and training.
Now, Teri is a Nationally Certified Counselor specializing in children and adolescents. She has a Masters in Counseling and Psychotherapy from St. Joseph’s College in
West Hartford, Connecticut. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts. Her experience spans over
20 years in the field. She is also certified at Level 2 through EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association at EAGALA.org).
Horse Safety and Training Specialist, Certified Riding Instructor

Handicapped Association (NARHA.org) and at Level 2 by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA.org).
